Fundación Manos Juntas Awarded Pathways to Health Grant to Expand Access to Care
Oklahoma City, OK — May 7, 2025 — Fundación Manos Juntas, a free clinic dedicated to providing quality healthcare to uninsured and underserved individuals, is proud to announce it has been awarded a $10,000 grant through the Pathways to Health program. Administered by the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) and supported by Evernorth Health Services, this competitive grant recognizes the clinic’s commitment to improving healthcare access and outcomes for marginalized communities.
Selected from over 60 applicants, Fundación Manos Juntas stood out for its clarity, innovation, and alignment with the goals of Pathways to Health. The funding will support the clinic’s efforts to expand preventive screenings, chronic disease management services, and patient education programs—directly addressing barriers to care in Oklahoma, a state with one of the highest uninsured rates in the nation.
The Pathways to Health initiative, aligned with the national Healthy People 2030 objectives, seeks to reduce barriers to healthcare access (AHS-05) and advance health equity (SDoH-01). Fundación Manos Juntas remains committed to these goals, working every day to ensure that healthcare is a right, not a privilege.
“We are honored to receive this grant and grateful to the NAFC and Evernorth for recognizing the importance of this work," said Jackson Higginbottom, MPH, President of Fundación Manos Juntas. "This funding allows us to continue expanding vital services for our patients and making healthcare more accessible for those who need it most."
